Is there an effective way of logging energy usage and power on an ION9000 from two different sources ?
Situation is that we have a site with a generator and mains incoming supply both upstream of the ION9000 with one set of CT's and Vrefs, can we give a digital input to the meter and have it log energy or other measurement to a different register so we can report in PME on just generator usage ?
Layout like this:
Mains Gen

X X ION

---------------------0------->
Anybody done anything like this and care to share the process ?

Hello Grant,
Many of the alarms come from set point modules, these modules have an Enable input. You could link the enable input to the Digital input state.

Hello Rich,
The digital input can be linked to the enable of the integrator module, you would be able to turn energy accumulation on and off using the digital input. This could be applied to integrators for the main and generator. Sliding Window demand can also be setup like this as well as data recorders. Depending on what measurements you want you can likely do this.

Charles

Have a look at the Conditional Energy feature in the default template

Wondering if i can apply this to a circuit for monitoring generator circuit only... as it is normally zero... maybe halt logging while gen not running, as meter currently logs many errors when generator is off... can we suppress alarms such as low volt, when say DI1 (Gen run) input is off?
