Dear Experts.
Need your help for Thai Oil Project.
The issue is related to ION9000 meter CID file integration with ABB system. For which seeking your support to get the solution from ION expert/R&D team.
The IEC 61850 SCADA is from ABB
- We have supplied ION9000 meter for energy reading and communication through IEC61850 protocol integrated with ABB SCADA system.
- For the integration purpose, we sent the appropriate meter CID file to PSS/ABB team for configuration. ION9000 meter CID files come with “Attribute Level” mapping as default. Refer the attached picture-1 as seen from CET580 tool.
- We received the feedback from PSS/ABB is that they are not able to map the ION9000 CID files at “data‐attribute level” but only at “data‐object level”. After importing ION9000 meter CID file into the IEC tool, only “Data Attribute” is visible, which ABB cannot map into their system. Refer the picture-2 with highlight.
- Further, we reconfigured the ION9000 meter CID files with “Data Object Level” configuration using CET850 tool. Now ABB is able to configure in their IET tool based on “Data Object Level” mapping .
- However, now we are unable to upload the file into ION9000 meter.
- How can we upload the CID file with “Data Object Level” mapping to ION9000 meter? Or do we have any other way around to overcome this issue?

Hello @Subhro_Roy (please update name from sesa)
The current firmware of the ION9000 meter is configured to require the data attribute level. To change this would require a feature request best submitted through your sales channels.
Regards,
Charles
