Have you notice distorted values display on PM meters?
Schneider electric PMxxxx and their efficient running rely largely on the connected Current Transformers, their installation and their calibration.
CTs are sensors sending electrical signal to the PMxxxx which then perform the calculation of your power quality and the subsequent value display.
Consequently, whether your CTs are not properly connected or calibrated, harmonics may be polluted, and value distortion could then be observed on your PMxxxx display.
But how can we prevent these disfunctions?
First of all, the CTs should be chosen according to wires and PMxxxx specification:
PM input current
PM accuracy class
Cable size and load
Voltage connection
Space between current transformers
Also note that common failure causes through the installation could be:
CTs connection to the PMxxxx
PMxxxx calibration
Degradation of the CTs*
