Example of use:
We will order some to do a field test for a customer currently using Bender.
As their installation is live, and cannot be stopped, the open toroids are the good option to perform this test.
We hope to prove to this customer the good measurements made by our devices, versus what Bender offers.
In this particular example, the test will be done with an XML3xx, since the customer is very interested in Capacity measurements (that he does not have with Bender). He wants to know the capacitance to be able to evaluate the faulty current in case of first fault and the touch voltage, since he had accidents in the past.

In the past, we already offered Open toroids (also called Split toroids) in the catalogue. Now we are changing their reference. The new Open toroids (versus the old Open toroids) have the advantages that are described above.
Regarding the selection of Open toroids versus Closed toroids:
> Open toroids can be wired on an installation without having to shut down the installation. In the case of brown field projects, that can be interesting. If the customer installation cannot be stopped, we can still install a locator, using Open toroids.
> The drawback is that Open toroids are always more expansive than Closed toroids. So we cannot offer this in all cases.

For toroid in hospitals, Bender have integrated type.
Ithink thisintegrated type in the hospital is more convenient, and less costly.
