While adding about 40 Schneider serial meters to a Com'X and then changing local IDs to match slave IDs, remote communication to the device was lost. Minutes later, the Com'X webpage showed "Welcome to Com'X 210. Te box is starting, please wait". This went on for half an hour or more before chrome showed "This site can't be reached". Refreshing the page didn't re-establish a connection.
Questions:
1. Is it likely that the Com'X 210 will work again if PoE power is removed and replaced, factory default settings applied, and a 'save the configuration file' applied? (or is it more likely that the Com'X has been bricked)
2. Will a 24V power supply be required to power the Com'X while connecting over Ethernet via laptop to the Com"X with factory default settings?
2a. Or will the laptop connect over DHCP to the Com'X with factory default settings (while Com'X powered by a switch set to a particular IP range not 10.25.1.X) without fuss?
