I am not aware of any standard regarding sample rate. But harmonic calculation is tied directly to sample rate. The sample rate has to be at least twice +1 for the calculated harmonic. Thus you need a sample rate of 128 samples per cycle to determine harmonics through the 63rd. And of course, the higher the sample rate, the better the resolution of any waveforms captured.
