This case is a semiconductor customer in China. The 10kV power quality meter ION7650 recorded more than ten irregular voltage sag and swell alarm signals from Nov 19 to Dec 3,2019. According to the alarm data and waveform information, combined with the characteristics of alarm events and disturbance direction information, although the time of fault occurrence is irregular, the duration of each fault is 10ms or 20ms, phase AB overvoltage, phase C low voltage, Moreover, Combined with the waveform characteristics, it can be analyzed that the incomplete arc grounding fault occurred in phase C, which is a typical single-phase grounding fault characteristic of 10kV small current grounding system.. Point to the upstream of the monitoring point according to the disturbance direction,
I recommended that the customer focus on checking the c-phase area between the transformer and the monitoring point, and finally lock the c-phase cable insulation damage. Timely repair the fault to avoid further expansion of the accident and 10kV tripping. For the semiconductor factory, a short shutdown will bring tens of millions of economic losses。
