AccuSine: Year 2000/2020 HMI display issue- Updated on 5th Feb 2020

Hello Team

Good Day

We really apologize for the inconvenience.

Issue: As you mentioned, Yes, we have issue with Dates on AccuSine HMI display as year 2000 instead of 2020.

Description: But it affects only the HMI home screen date and time displayed and it will log any events as year 2000 when it occurred in 2020, apart from that this issue does not impact performance or operation of the product.

Impact Product Range: All AccuSine PCS+, PFV+ and PCSn in the field. It means all the units that produced before December 31st 2019. Units shipped from Jan 1st, 2020 have the latest FW and are not affected.

No safety, operation or Performance Thread.

Resolution: The fix for this is updating the control board and HMI firmware.  Today this can only be accomplished with the Service Terminal program which is not intended to be released to customers. To avoid having to deploy AccuSine+ trained FSR for this, we are working on a simplified way to deploy the firmware update so a customer can accomplish this task.  Any customers that receive the update to the latest firmware will also have to be told to download the new User Manual (already on se.com).

Next step: Until the fix is released, please ask the respective country team to log the complaint in BFO for traceability. A Field Service Bulletin will be issued along with the fix by end-January 2020.

Latest User Manuals released Dec-2019

Note:Team, again we got a new firmware for PCSP HMI and the new firmware for  PCSN, replacing both HMI and DSP, so i strongly re-commend to follow below links to get the very updated information for both the products.

  • AccuSine PCSn user manual

After upgrading, please ensure in your unit  HMI, whether you are able to see below version upgraded to your unit.

Dear all,

I hope every one are safe with good health.

This is an update regarding the Firmware issue identified late last year.

Even though this information’s was known to some of the team members, I like to share it again  and I expect you to share the same with the concerns stake holders, by that I ensure again we all on the page.

Issue: Dates on AccuSine HMI display as Year 2000 instead of 2020.

Description: This only affects the HMI home screen date and time displayed and it will log any events as year 2000 when it occurred in 2020.  This issue does not impact performance or operation in anyway.

Impacted range: Every AccuSine PCS+, PFV+ and PCSn in the field shipped before Jan 1st, 2020. Units shipped from Jan 1st, 2020 are not affected.

Safety, Operation or Performance affected: No

Resolution:

The fix for this issue is to update the Control Board firmware and HMI firmware of the affected AccuSine unit.  Firmware files for the update can be located at se.com at the links provided below

AccuSine PCS+: https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-range-download/63426-accusine-pcs%2B/?parent-category-id=4300&paren...

AccuSine PCSn: https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-range-download/65657-accusine-pcsn/?filter=business-2-building-auto...

AccuSine PFV+: https://www.se.com/ww/en/product-range-download/63425-accusine-pfv%2B/?parent-category-id=4300&paren...

Appropriate .zip file(s) should be downloaded and then unzipped on computer before proceeding to the next step. Any customers that receive the update to the latest firmware should also download the new User Manual (already on se.com).

Latest User Manuals:

  • AccuSine PCS+ /PFV+ user manual

https://www.se.com/ww/en/download/document/NHA41797/

  • AccuSine PCSn user manual

https://www.se.com/ww/en/download/document/AccuSine_PCSn_user_EN/

Note: The upgrade can be performed by any qualified electrical personnel giving flexibility to Country Teams regarding local deployment.

Please cascade the information to Country Teams and to anyone else you think appropriate. In parallel, we are also informing  the concerning stake holders, about this solution so that they will be able to support as necessary. Support requests should be made through bFO.

Regards

Arun
