AccuSine PFV+ vs STATCOM

Hello Experts!

In user manual and catalogs we are positioning AccuSine PFV+ as EVC - Electronic VAR Control. None of the documents uses the name STATCOM. However, looking at STATCOM descriptions it looks like a very similar solution.

Could you please explain what are the differences between AccuSine PFV+ and STATCOM ? Or maybe there are none?
