Hello, I'm trying to integrate a 2-wire PT1000 into my M172
I've set the corresponding parameter ( in this case the Cfg_AI8 ) to 6=PT1000, and although I got some reading, I'm not quite sure what is it exactly (it hovers around 400 INT dropped to 160 when I put some ice)
So my question is:
1. Does the FullScaleMin_AI8 & FullScaleMax_AI8 parameters need to be adjusted too? I kept it default at 0...1000
2. Does the value gained from the local IO variable (AIL8) is still in Ohm or has it been converted to temperature?
3. If it's still in Ohm any quick conversion library / FB I can use instead of manual conversion?
That's all, thanks!!

The sensor give a feedback with with one decimal place 100=10,0‘c
fullscale min and max work only for current and voltage inputs. The gain is only used by n the factory to calibrate the inputs.
please check if the Parameter for the unit is correct C/F .
and check if in your configuration the pair of AI is set to PT1000
best regards

Alright I guess so, thanks!
That means I got 40.4 C ambient temp & 16.1 C when put with ice
Hmmm guess I need to recalibrate the sensor, or simply just not buy a cheap one 😕

hi there,
if you are using ESME for programming your plc i recommend you use the LIN_TRAFO function block to scale your sensor output. check out that link for detail

Hi Mike,
What do you mean ? Are Codesys FB´s available as a library for ESME ? I asked some time ago and there´s no "official" implementation so far , at least the moment I asked there was not.
