Dear All
I would like to share our issue with you
we had initially iRio modules in several panels (distanced locations) which communicate with radio using Motorola CM140 devices
the communication protocol was MODBUS RS232
we want to replace the iRio modules with TM241CE24T PLC
is that possible in terms of communication ?
is there any experienced TVDA to link existing iRio-Radio panel with another M241-Radio panel ?

The M241 can do modbus RS232, no problem. But a M241 is not a pure remote I/O so you will have to do some coding to make the data you want to exchange available but I guess this is part of your plan and add some local control/logic at each remote location?

Alternative you could also use a TM171PBM27R + TM171ASCTB27 + TM171ARS232
The TM171P could act as I/O Modul. You do not need to upload an application.
And you could configure the serial lines via DIP switch, and can configure the AI/AOs via Modbus through RS232/485
