Hi,
The M221 PLC has one RS-485 Modbus port. Using this port, you can read data from Modbus slave devices and assign the values you read to the internal registers of the TM221.
In the system, a client can also treat the TM221’s Ethernet port as if it were a slave (server) device, and the TM221 will serve its own registers to that client.
However, to do this, you need to write a small amount of code as described above.
It cannot be used as a gateway with only configuration settings like a typical off-the-shelf gateway device. Still, it can function like a gateway as long as the system requirements and limitations are taken into account.
