Checklist to deploy EcoStruxure IT Gateway

This checklist will help you make sure you have the necessary information to deploy the EcoStruxure IT Gateway and discover devices successfully.

Installing and setting up the EcoStruxure IT Gateway - version 1.10 and newer

 

 

Server or VM

Server or VM to download and install EcoStruxure IT Gateway on.

Not applicable for the EcoStruxure IT Gateway appliance, which comes with the Gateway software preinstalled.

System requirements

 

Device IP addresses

You can import a device list in .CSV or .TXT format.

You can include SNMPv1, SNMPv3, NetBotz, and Redfish devices in one list. You import a list of Modbus devices separately.

EcoStruxure IT Gateway versions older than 1.15 do not allow discovery of SNMPv3 devices with the Authentication type or Encryption type set to None.

Note: When AES is configured on the APC NMC, choose AES128 in the Gateway.

SSL certificate

If your organization operates an SSL inspection proxy and EcoStruxure IT Gateway does not trust the issuing CA, add the certificate authority's (CA) root certificate to the EcoStruxure IT Gateway trust store.

Your IT department can provide the correct root certificate.

The certificate must be in PEM format with one of the following extensions: cer, crt, or pem.
