Geo SCADA Expert as OPC-UA server

ClearSCADA / Geo SCADA Expert already has a nice OPC-DA (and OPC-HDA) tunnelling capability through the ClearSCADA / Geo SCADA Expert Data Access Components (and Configure Connections etc). However...

It would be even nicer (in a cross-platform manner) if Geo SCADA Expert was also able to act as a native OPC-UA server (the same way it currently does for OPC-DA etc).  It should align nicely with the existing database structure, and with the security model etc.  So there should be limited complications.

It would allow for additional integration with platforms like Node-RED etc.

Hi, I want to ask you, is it possible to integrate the GeoScada server (as an OPC Server) with XLReporter?

What is XLReporter?
Does it act as an OPC Client? (which would be the requirement for having GeoSCADA Expert as an OPC Server for it)

Given 'Reporter' is in the name, I'd suggest that using OLEDB / ODBC connection to GeoSCADA Expert would probably make more sense from it.

@sbeadle - I believe this request is "implemented" now? We are using OPC-UA server functionality in GS2022 with a couple of customers now.

Delivered in Geo SCADA 2022.

UA Historic server is on the 'list' for the future.
