We've run into a few instances where customers want users who access ViewX to not have access to the Alarm Banner function of ViewX. These users still can see alarms on embedded alarm lists/displays, however the desire is to disable the alarm banner function in general.
Lets say you are a new user who is accessing Virtual ViewX for the first time. The alarm banner will come up on your initial login and you can hide it. Those settings are stored so the next time you launch VVX it won't show up.
The idea here is that we want to either disable the alarm banner completely or hide the banner by default for users. Since this can be rolled into VVX I think a checkbox on the user properties makes the most sense. Initially I figured a switch in the Startup Config would be the best route, but since we don't have access to this in VVX there's no way to alter it.
If this is already possible through some other place, I'm all ears, else I think this would be a welcomed addition.
