Virtual ViewX is licenced by the number of seats a customer wishes to use.  This can be applied to a single server or split across multiple servers.  When seats are allocated to a server they are fixed on that server.  So if a user purchases a 40 client licence for Virtual ViewX and wants to use that on 4 servers, then each server can host 10 clients, if an 11th client connects to a server it will be refused even if the other 3 servers have spare licences.

Server License

A VVX server is issued with a 'client side' licence so does not consume any client licences from the server That client side license is termed a Virtual ViewX Server License when you buy it, and it is necessary to buy this part for Virtual ViewX to function.

Evaluation Licenses

The first licensing option radio button allows you to get a 30 day license for 100 users. This process works online, and requires that your computer can connect online to our licensing server. This connection needs to work without additional proxy setup. If you have difficulty getting an evaluation license please use your Schneider Electric sales contact to request assistance.

Licensing Problems?

You can reset the licensing system which will remove all licenses and part-added licenses. Do this only if you are resetting licensing to the start and will lose existing licenses:

Delete the 'Licensing' entry in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cybele Software\Licensing", then reboot and start license install again with a new Serial Number or online evaluation request.
