📖 Home  Back
Control Microsystems has announced the release of ClearSCADA 2009 Edition, the newest version of our successful SCADA Host software.

ClearSCADA 2009 R2 is a minor version release, containing numerous new features and product enhancements that build on the existing ClearSCADA 2009 R1 platform.

All users upgrading to this release will require a new licence file available from customer support. This is required for both server and client upgrades. See the notes available here for further information.

Product Changes

  • Multi-trace ad-hoc trends - trends can now be configured using a trend specification string allowing support for ad-hoc user trend creation in both ViewX and WebX.

  • SMS Command Processor - The existing pager driver has been extended to support incoming SMS messages so that users can send commands to the ClearSCADA server to acknowledge alarms, run reports, request status information, run machines and much more.

  • SCADAPack E-Series Integration Improvements:

  • DNP3 Driver has been extended to support Control Microsystems SP330E/SP334E RTUs.

  • The E-Series RTU sampler has been integrated into ClearSCADA so that time sampled trend data from the RTU can be loaded into ClearSCADA. This also allows for statistical data such as minimum, maximum and average to be calculated in the RTU and returned to ClearSCADA with no code required.

  • OLE DB Provider - A native OLE DB provider has been developed that allows external applications to interact with the ClearSCADA database.

  • Multi-site WebX - WebX has been enhanced to support cross database hyperlinks meaning that users in a ClearSCADA system with multiple databases can navigate between the sites using standard hyperlinks configured in ViewX.

  • Larger database support - ClearSCADA 2009 R2 has been improved to support single databases up to 500000 objects.

  • Partner Servers - The main-standby architecture has been extended to support up to 5 Partner Servers. This allows for a Main-Standby system to have 4 Permanent Standby servers or Triple-Standby system to have up to 3 Permanent Standby servers.

  • Alarm Routing - The Alarm Management System has been improved to allow the responsibility for individual alarms to be allocated to a specific user or workstation.

  • Eavesdrop Operation in Modbus Driver - The SCADAPack Modbus driver has been extended to support eavesdropping operation, allowing parallel operation of ClearSCADA and existing SCADA systems to prove correct operation of the system during cutover.

  • An expression for checking user security permissions on mimic objects has been added

Please read the detailed Release Notes for a complete list of changes made in this version of ClearSCADA.
