Hello 🙂
This is a bit of a generic question and yes I am fishing for ideas!
I have several Com'xs and Modbus gateways on a customer site with PMEv8.2 on a virtual server, all chugging along nicely.
I am trying to collect the energy data from m-bus heat meters installed in 20 AHUs and which are located on a very large flat roof. The challenge is cabling to the AHUs and locations of nearest IP points in relation to the AHUs. In a nutshell, there's no infrastructure nearby and the cost of installing it will be prohibitive.
So the question is does anyone have any suggestions - products, manufacturers - that will allow me set up a wireless mesh network? I have several "solutions" already but they're a bit messy and we all know the simplest solutions are the ones that work best. I don't think Schneider has much to offer in terms of wireless gateways/ networking but correct me if I'm wrong!
FYI - there is direct line of sight to all AHUs and from any point.
Thanks
Brahm

Have never used these but heard that they are OK. ModHopper - Wireless Modbus | Chipkin Automation Systems
WiFi may work in some cases but involve more EGX units on the receiving end. If you do decide to use ModHoppers let me know how they work out.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi All,
The installed solution is:
M-bus heat meter (VU Heat) - RESI Protocol Converter - NOVUS Automation AirGate Modbus
There are 11 nodes and 21 heat meters in total. It works a treat!
