Shark 200S meter model on ComX510

I'm quoting a job with 30-40 Shark 200S meters all in 1 building, every meter has individual IP address and is ethernet back to a switch in the IT server room.  Currently another provider is providing monthly PUE calculation, I believe they are pulling data from each meter, no API.

We are planning to transition customer to Resource Advisor PAM.  Proposed architecture is to put in 2 ComX-510, 20 meters on each ComX-510.  Has anybody done this or have an existing Shark 200S meter already created for ComX?

I've read Simon Huang's thread on Shark meters to PME, not sure if that work is compatible with what I'm trying to accomplish here.  Thanks in advance!

The Community Help section is intended for questions regarding the usage of the Community. As you're not registered in the system as a registered partner, you don't have access to the sub communities that contains a lot of information about all Schneider Electric's solutions.

The sub communities are followed and monitored by very skilled persons both from within Schneider Electric but also from partners.

In order to get access, you need to contact your local Schneider Electric representative, and get them to fix your registration by sending a mail to the team responsible for Download Center and Community confirming that you're a registered partner.

Have a great day

My apologies, I totally missed that. I've moved the question to the Power area of the Community.

For your convenience, in the future please place your question in the corresponding sub community as more people will see it there. This question had been placed in "Community Help", and only people following this sub Community will get notified. You find the sub communities in the top left part. Click "Communities" and then select the area your question is about.

No worries, very much appreciate your quick responses.  My first post on Exchange Community and very new to Schneider, so still learning and figuring things out.  Enjoy your weekend ! πŸ™‚

Hi Marshall,

I'm not aware of any existing installations like this, but if you have the Modbus register map, you should be able to create the custom model. How many topics are you interested in logging from each device?

Best,

Colton

Marshall/Colton:

We also have a customer with Shark's which he installed and bought direct. As the facility is undergoing product line changes and we are the electrical contractor our first question is "How loaded are the feeders and bus ducts". If we have to add additional large feeders off of existing interior sub-stations. Of course customer has not purchased the software (so we cannot see usage trends and demand peaks, just instantaneous real time and max and max demand point at meter), I have looked into it (Energy Manager EXT, but see it is "not PME 8.2 (now apparently)".

We are also proposing new LSIG breakers for customer's new MCC's for multiple (5) 350-300 hp motors, for over-current, short circuit and ground fault protection. We want to install a ComX510, to be able to connect to communications modules on the electronic breakers and bring in modbus temperature bearing sensors so they can trend heating on these motors.

As customer has multiple Shark's we too are hoping someone has developed MDI for Shark's if not we will attempt to get modbus register files and bring these into the ComX510 so we can at least provide basic power information. Long term, PME if all goes well.

Paul C.
