Our units had DHCP so a connected router will provide an IP.  Use Windows Network device search to find Com'X device to get access.  We are using one in our lab in Menasha Wisconsin USA to display and push data to Schneider Facility Insights Cloud software.  Our Com'X is a 510.  These do not natively support some legacy devices, however you can create custom devices that work OK.  Here is a screen-shot of some of our meters.
