Hi,
I have a site where we have a number of PM8000s and PM5110 meters on the same modbus network connected to an EGX, and as yet I can't get the PM8000s to communicate, as the only option in PME is ION protocol.
Is this possible, and if so how do I set the EGX for it to work?
Any pointers would be a help.
Thanks
Andy

Hello @Andy_Hubert ,
There is a process called ION over modbus. This option is only available when communicating to the PM8000 on the serial port (which you are). The KB link below has more details.
The PDF attached to the case has steps for the setup of both PME and the device. The device's serial port will need to be set to Modbus.

Hi,
The PM800 is set to ION, as that is the only option in PME, and I have just upgraded the EGX to the latest firmware so I have the 'ION Pass through' option available.
The EGX is still set as Modbus.
Thanks
Andy
