We are using the Link150 product to monitor draw on Starline tap boxes at one of our data center sites. After a cabinet has been removed and there is nothing connected to the tap boxes our DCE server is showing power spikes usually no more than 3-5A at random times which is showing up as peaks on reports. This is not unique to a single Link150 or a particular phase, and again there doesn't seem to be a pattern in the timing of the spikes. Can someone provide some insight as to why this is happening or if this has been observed in the past and what could be the cause?
I have attached a screen shot of the behavior, some are showing more spikes than others but as can be observed they are very quick then the reading returns to 0.

Hello @MikeCormier ,
Are the energy meters embedded in the tap box ? Or only on the head of the busway ?
Do you have 1x Link150 per tap box ? Or only one at the head of the busway ?
How is powered Link150 ? 24 DC / POE ?
Typical Link150 power consumption @ 24 Vdc is 130 mA (65 mA with POE). I doubt the current pikes you are monitoring are from the Link150. Maybe something with the hardware embedded in the tap box ?
Regards,

Hello,
Same as @Romain_Polette , It is unlikely that LINK150 is responsible for that, really need to identify what is monitored and how it is, specially if you have 3 to 5 A at AC level....
