Do we have any software to install on a PC to emulate a serial modbus port ?

Hello,

I have a device connected to a link150 using RS485. I would like to emulate a Com port on my laptop to connect to the device.

The tool needs to allow me to enter IP address and slave device ID.

Do you have a handy tool ?

I would like to use easergypro on my laptop to connect to serial port of protection relay through a link150.

Easergy pro does not allow to enter the slave ID of the relay....

I'm not aware of any software solution to be used with Link150, but I think that MOXA's NPort device could be what you are looking for.

cela fait des années que l'on utilise Modscan32 et on n'a encore rien trouvé de mieux ni d'aussi simple et rapide.

Mon but est d'aller chercher un équipement connecté en série avec un logiciel qui ne permet pas d'entrer une adresse IP et un esclave modbus....

Il faut configurer les IP sur la Link150 et dans modscan.

Configurer également la partie Modbus, par défaut on met 19200 8 bits 1 stop Even 0,5sec

sur la photo c'est un exemple pour lire une valeur sur un IM400. 

Au passage cela nous arrive de faire une formation à Rennes sur quelques basiques de la communication des équipements, pour des Schneider et des clients, cela dure une journée; (en support on utilise des TGBT Okken)

For use with eSetup Easergy Pro => I do not think this is possible.

Documentation is not mentioning this option:

Not sure you can commission P3 or P5 through Link150. You can do some setup but only with the Web Pages of the device.

For P3 + eSetup EasergyPro => only through front face (COM port of your Laptop) or direct Ethernet.

In this case this a P1 and you can have Modbus S1 that seems modbus.
