ComX510. Serial port and Ethernet port at the same time

I would like to conect 3 PM820 by the Serial port and 2 PM5560 by the RJ45 port. Can I use both ports without any problem?

Hi,

Technically, both ports could be used, since they are electrically connected in parallel.  However, special care needs to be taken to ensure that the wiring polarization is not reversed on the terminal connector.  Also, the baud rate and parity needs to be the same for the devices on both ports.

This is possible, but could be tricky.

Sorry, I didnt understand very well. Do I have to modify the Ethernet Baud Rate in order to coincide with the serial baud rate? Here is the communication architecture

Actually, I'm the one that should be apologizing.  I thought you were asking if you could use both of the serial ports (there is a RJ-45 connector and a terminal connector).

Yes, you can most definitely use both the Ethernet and the serial port at the same time 🙂

I configured the ethernet ports as "2 Switched Ports (1 IP address for both)", the ComX510 is in the same network with the PM5560s, then I confirmed Pin and add the PM5560
