what 4-20 ma sensor configurations are supported?

My customer has NetBotz 450 and wants to add a 3rd party water level sensor to it using the NetBotz 4-20 ma inputs.  They would also be powering it with the NetBotz 24 VDC supply.

1. From the sensors wiring diagram, I assume it would be a 3 wire configuration, is that supported/tested?
   1. I assume it would be wired like this, correct? 
      
      
      
2. Is there a distance limitation on the power supply cable?
3. I know how to configure it on the NetBot itself using the external ports, but is there anything else I need to know?

Hi Andrew,

I've no documentation on wiring the current offering with a 3 wire config but if it's anything like the old 4-20 sensor pod, what you've drawn out looks similar to the 3 wire config in it's install sheet on page 4:

I'll check with engineering to see if this config has been tested directly on the current models.

Thanks Steve,  Yup, I used the old 4-20mA pod manual as a reference for it, but wanted to double check since I couldn't find any current documentation either. 

I also remember there being some caveats to trying to use it.  IIRC, one of those was regarding using an external power supply, but this config should take care of that.

I can say that I'd seen issues in the past with the pod and using an external power source and similarly, I didn't think it relevant since your drawing was using the local source but that was about the only caveat I thought of as well.
