I have an issue on a Netbotz 450. Every time I try and start the SNMP service it says:
SNMP Info Starting network management services: snmpd on port 161.
SNMP Failure Starting network management services: failed
I have tried updating to 4.6.2. Turning it on/off, rebooting it. Is there any other troubleshooting I can do?

Hi John,
It's not an issue I've really seen before. There may be some kind of corruption on the appliance. Make sure you're using a matching version of Advanced View with your Botzware. You may also want to consider upgrading them both to 4.6.4 which is the most recent.
If that doesn't resolve it, Back up the appliance. Next, reset the appliance to defaults:

Do not bring in the backup. Set up the IP and log in right away. Try turning on the SNMP daemon. does it still fail? If so, I suggest a tftp upgrade:
http://www.apc.com/us/en/faqs/FA176133
Do not use the "rootupgkeep" option in step 17.
Again, do not bring in the backup.
If this works, there was likely some corruption. You can try bringing in the backup at this point but if you do and the issue returns, there's something corrupt in the backup and you'll want to manually reconfigure.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi John,
Just to add on Steve's recommendation, the latest available firmware for Netbotz v3 (i.e. Netbotz 450) is v4.6.4. The latest Netbotz firmware can be downloaded from the link below:
Just in case the solution Steve did not do the trick, I strongly suggest updating the Netbotz appliance.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Justine
