Hi Helio,

What firmware is the 250 running?

What sensors exactly have you connected?

Do you have anything else connected?

Are you seeing any errors in the logs?

You state that some of them don’t show the sensors. Have you tried connecting the sensors that are detected to the devices that do not detect sensors?

What troubleshooting have you done?

Steve.

What firmware is the 250 running?

The latest NetBotz Rack Monitor 250 firmware.

What sensors exactly have you connected?

Temperature/humidity Sensor (AP9335TH).

Do you have anything else connected?

YES, Rack Access control handle Input and door contact Sensor (front and back door), network connection cable.

Are you seeing any errors in the logs?

No, only: No items to display.

You state that some of them don’t show the sensors. Have you tried connecting the sensors that are detected to the devices that do not detect sensors?

I did the following: In some of the rooms where the sensor does not appear, I replaced the rack manger 250 with a new one, and the new one appeared with no problems. so the problem is apparently not in the sensor but in the rack maneger 250. And I have many cases of these.

What troubleshooting have you done?

  1. Upgrade the firmware
  2. Plug and unplug the power cable.
  3. Connect some new sensor.

Hi Helio,

I suggest disconnecting all sensors and resetting the unit to defaults. Re-IP the unit and connect only one known good temp sensor. Don’t connect any alink terminators, etc.

You also mentioned “the latest” firmware but I have seen where the latest is not always the easiest to find.. Please make sure you’re at version 6.5.

I Steven,

i followed all the steps that you recomended, but a still have the same issue. ( temperature/humidity sensor dont appear on display).
I tryed to connect the sensor to other new netbootz and the sensor appear, so the problem is no on sensor, i have many netbootz (news from the box) with that issue.

do you have other recomendation for us??

Hi Helio,

if the sensor works in another appliance and not on this one, it would seem to be specific to the appliance. If you disconnected everything else, reset the device, then connected only one sensor / cable, it would appear that the device has a failure and should likely be replaced.

 Hello, Steve.

The problem is that I have many Netbotz with this problem, I already installed more than 60 new Netbotz 250 in this project and we have at least 20 with this problem.

Today I performed the following test:

1. Disconnect all sensors and restart the unit in defaults.

2. Upgraded the device to the new firmware 6.5

3. I connected only the good sensor

I've tried this on 6 devices with that issue, but I have the same result. (the temperature / humidity sensor does not appear on the display).

When i connect the sensor with a good Netbootz the result is positive (like i said the problem is not on sensor) :

Should i change all the netbotz with that problems?? ☹️

Hi Helio,

Although it may take a little time to become visible, if it never does, there would seem to be an issue with the device. It does seem odd however that you'd have so many with issues. AP9335TH can be bad but if it shows up on one device (assuming no extensions), it should show up on all. I'd contact tech support and work through it with them and replace as necessary.
