Hello - I have equipment that is not racked in my data center but would like to track it within DCO. This would help get rid of a spreadsheet and be able to track all assets within DCO.
Appreciate the help.

Hello Dennis
One possibility would be to use an object in DCO called a store room. This is one of the room-types when a new room is created in the DCO navigation view. Store rooms appear as lists but the items inside are assets.
Store rooms can be created within folders like server rooms so you can create store rooms for each of your locations if needed. You can cut and paste assets from rooms in and out of store rooms.
You will need to define genomes for any assets you plan to add.

Hello Dennis.
I saw your follow-up comment in my email but don't see it here.
Cut and paste is not always required.
You can directly drag and drop items from the genome library to storage rooms. You may also right click on the room tab for an open room (same tab you click to switch between opened rooms) you can detach the tab from the DCO desktop client, then you can drag items from the detached room window into the store room too.
