Attempting to update firmware on AP7830 PDU that is currently at version 1. Can the PDU be updated to v3.9.2 or does an earlier version need to be applied before jumping to v3.9.2. Also concerned if the PDU will drop power updating from v1 to v3 firmware.

Hi Barry,
Good day!
This metered rack PDU uses an NMC1. If the firmware that it is running at is AOS v1.XX, you might need to upgrade it to at least v2.0.2 before upgrading it to the latest available version.
Upgrading the firmware directly to the latest version may cause the PDU losing web access or worse network access, which means a Hyperterminal may be needed to restore network access to it.
I hope this helps.
regards,
Justine

Hi Barry!
NMC firmware can be updated directly to the latest version.
PDU will not drop the load when you will update it's firmware.
