Good morning,
I'm trying to add about 30 metered rack PDU model AP8853 to our Data Center Expert version 7.4.0.
The PDU's already have onboard the SNMP v.3 configuration because we're already monitoring them using another monitoring tool (Solarwind) .
Following the guide at this website: http://www.schneider-electric.us/en/faqs/FA177081/ I wasn't able to add the PDU's.
Do I need to perform a firmware upgrade on the PDU's? the version is the following:
Thanks,
Fabio

Dear Fabio,
I would suggest you to make sure that SNMP v3 settings on the web interface of the PDU allow the DCE server to discover it.
You will need to make sure that Access is enabled and User Profile are enabled for DCE to discover. By default, SNMP version 3 is disabled for APC Network Management Cards.
Note: Its recommended to make sure that firmware of any NMC cards are up to date.
regards,
Bala
