Dear Reader,
At a customer of ours, they have the problem that PDUs have been replaced (16 APCs) and have been given the same IP address as the old PDUs.
Now this has resulted in the following messages coming in every x minutes "The ...... with identifier ........ is no longer at "IP address". A new device has been detected at that address."
However, all settings are good, such as SNMP, SCP, FTP etc.
We have already updated the EcoStruxure IT Gateway to the latest version, but this did not help.
We have also removed all the PDUs and then added them again, but this did not help either.
Do you guys perhaps know why these messages keep coming back?
Thanks in advance,
Bart Zinger

Hi Jake, apparently the problem was with the APC switch. The ports on this switch rattled quite a bit. The switch has been replaced and the problem is solved. Thanks for your help.

You are not supposed to get that message if you delete the old device, then discover the IP address. If that doesn't work, then please contact support so they can investigate the problem. https://helpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014368218-How-to-replace-a-device-in-EcoSt...

Hi Jake,
Thanks for your response!
Then again, we are going to remove the devices from the gateway.
Then we are going to reboot the gateway and add the devices again.
Hopefully this will help.
I will keep you updated.
