Hello,
Can someone please confirm if the 9000 series rack PDUs work with Data Center Expert and IT Advisor?
We are looking at the APDU9966 model and I would like to ensure it works seamlessly with DCE and ITA.
For DCE, I refer to being able to perform mass configurations and mass firmware upgrades.
For ITA, I refer to seeing the measured power data per phase from DCE.
We are looking to acquire PDUs soon so I would appreciate if someone can look into this in a timely manner.
Thanks

Hi @0g ,
The 9000 series has full feature parity in DCE. I can't promise for ITA, but based on on my understanding of the components involved, I'd assume the same.

Thanks @Shaun, I know when the 9000 series was initially released the mass config and upgrades was not an option in DCE, most likely due to the firmware version so I wanted to make sure that was addressed.
@gsterling I was looking in ITA 9.3.10 and there are no genomes for the 9000 series PDUs.
Any idea when APDU9966 might be added so that the outlet mapping works?
I believe that's part of the genome extended information.

Hello. There are at least some of the APDU9xxx models in the ITA genome library, perhaps your library is out of date? The below image is from my ITA 9.3.x server.
The APDU9966 in my library is a standard genome and not extended so it does not allow outlet level connections in ITA. If that is required we should request extended genome properties be added to that rack pdu model.

Hi Greg, thanks for the fast response.
After further looking into it I see that Rack PDU 9966 was part of the genome library version 10-21
In the ITA about window I saw Current genome library generated: 3/17/23 9:34 AM and I assumed it was up to date. I downloaded the latest genome package from the entitlements website and I saw that model along others listed as new. I was under the impression that an upgrade would also upgrade the genomes but I guess that's not the case. I will request APDU9966 to get the extended genome properties.

Upgrades should update the library if a genome update has occurred since the version you are running. If you provisioned a new ITA server and restored a backup file, the restore will restore the version of the genome database from the backup file and overwrite a newer genome database if that was present before the restore.
From what version of ITA did you upgrade to 9.3.10?

Its likely then you changed servers to move from CentOS 7.x to Rocky Linux 8.x. To move from 9.0.4 to 9.3.10 did you have to provision a new ITA server and restore the older ITA backup on the new server?
If yes, then the 9.0.4 genome database you had was restored onto 9.3.10.
