Temperature sensor in DCO from Avocent device

In one site we have Avocent PM3000 RPDU with temp sensor directly connected to RPDU. We got sensor values in DCE using DDF. But in DCO the temp sensor is not appearing as a component under RPDU to do association and show measured 3D CFD. pls advise

Hi Shemil, It seems like the sensors on the rmpdus is unintentionally filtered out some where in the link between DCE and DCO. Do you see any temperature sensors of any kind connected to other devices or directly in the DCO interface? I would also like to see the log-files from the DCO server. Those can be gathered using the server configuration interface https://:10000 or from the DCO client "Help" menu. Also please check in DCE that the sensor are categorized as "Environmental" this can be seen on the device by right clicking and "View Device Sensors" then the top drop down list should have a group called "Environmental Status" or similar.

Hello, have you got good result? I have today the same issue with Raritan PDU with temperature device connected. I can see the temp value in DCE but I'm unable to view and calculate in 3D navigation

Hi Giovanni

I'm pretty sure this type of issue is easily solved by updating the DCE DDF to ensure the temp sensor is properly presented by DCE to DCO. I suggest you obtain the latest DDF for your Raritan device / FW or submit an update request if that needs adjusting.
