Temperature Sensors not showing in DCO

I have added temperature & humidity sensors within the DC and they have been added to DCE but on checking the DCO they appear, but there are no temperature sensors to add to the rack, can someone advise what I am doing wrong?

Hi Paul,

How did you add the temperature sensors in DCE? Did you add them to a UPS? Did you add them to a NetBotz appliance? If you added them to a previously discovered device, have you tried removing and re-adding the device? Did you have a DDF created and add them as separate devices? Is the device itself visible within DCO?

Steve

Hi Steve I have added them to a NetBotz appliance through APC and then into DCE. I have then gone to add the sensors to the rack in DCO but the temp icon isn't there, but the temperature sensor is. I have also removed and re-added the NetBotz 570, Coordinators and Temp/Humidity sensors. But still no Temp icon is listed in DCO but the device is. So not sure what is going wrong... Any suggestions would be appreciated..

Hi Paul, Not sure, maybe one of the guys with more DCO experience might be able to help too. What versions are you running of DCO and DCE? I figure you're probably at 4.5 if you're running wireless but could you confirm that too? Steve

Hi Paul, Seems odd that some work and others do not. Are the NetBotz running the same firmware? The sensors themselves? (doubt that's it but want to see if we can see a difference) Are the units in the same folder in DCE? Are you testing them in the same room in DCO? Can you show screenshots? Steve

have added them to netbotz which is visible in dco, the sensors are also visible in dco, what is not visible is the little icon which needs to be attached to the front of the rack, separately to the sensor itself.

Hi Paul,

Currently TH sensor are represented wrongly.

The only way to tell the difference is by looking at the color where PDUs are colored green and environmental devices are colored yellow.

This is a known issue in the application which  is tracked to be solved in a later version of the software.

You can add from genome and associate with your sensors.

BR,

Rana Ajmal
