Hi All,
Not strictly DCIM, but does anyone know whether the Symmetra PX2 comes with universal sensor inputs for connection of AP9335T / AP9335TH?
If not, what would be required for environmental monitoring at this UPS, AP9631?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
No, this UPS currently ships with an embedded Network Management Card 1 NMC1) and no Universal I/O (UIO) ports as those are only available on NMC2 devices, if equipped. This UPS will switch over to NMC2 in the next few months but I do not believe it will be equipped with UIO (I'll double check that part today).
As of today, you can plug in an AP9631 NMC2 to this UPS and get the UIO ports. AP9631 will come with (1) AP9335T. Note though, AP9631, when installed in PX2, can only monitor the UPS, not the power distribution. Embedded NMC can monitor both the UPS and power distribution.

Thanks Angela - I think we'll install an AP9631 in that case

Hi David - you're welcome. I will post back about what I find on the new NMC2 module in case anyone else is wondering or if you eventually upgrade that. I am 99.9% sure the answer is no but I'd like to be 100% sure.

FYI - I confirmed only the management interface will be upgraded, no additional ports for UIO being added unfortunately. AP9631 will be the recommended solution for your question as we already discussed.
