Smoke detector support on NB570

How many smoke detectors can I install on NETBOTZ 570? Already tested with some third-party smoke detectors?

Hi Pablo,

When it comes to integrating our Netbotz smoke sensors (NBES0307) to the Netbotz 570, the limit is 2 per pod. The main unit and integrated pod will only see two but once another sensor pod is added and externally powered, you can then add 2 more. The limit is based on the sensor pod limit.

We can also monitor 3rd party smoke sensors using dry contacts, 0-5v output or 4-20 mA output. This is how we integrate 3rd party options that are not specifically Netbotz products. I don't have a recommended 3rd party smoke sensor SKU that has been officially tested, but as long as it is simply a dry contact output, it should be fine to use with our Netbotz products.

Hope this answers your question.

Regards,

Breda

Hi! Breda, is it new feature of Netbotz 570? As I know, it's only two smoke sensors can be connected per appliance, regardless of pod's number. At least Netbotz 550 in setup with six 150 pod's detect only two smoke sensors per system. And in doesn't matter where it's connected - to external pod or to Netbotz appliance.

Pablo, with Netbotz 570 you can cascade up to 12 sensor pods and up to 8 temperature and temperature/humidity sensors with display (AP9520T and AP9520TH).

Hi Valentin, This was recently looked into. When the pod is externally powered, you can add more based on sensor pod limits. The sensor pod limit for the 150 is one smoke sensor.

Pablo, Breda, you can recommend smoke sensors from Schneider: For example, when I need to quote 1 per rack, I use to quote: "EDC-20 Optical Smoke Detector with Sen" + "EBC-20 Relay Base" If you need to quote also a PSU, you can quote for example a "ABL8MEM24012 PSU, 24V, 1.2A" that will feed lots of smoke sensors.

Hi Breda, if I understand properly, in case I need to connect 4 Smoke Sensors NBES0307 to a Netbotz 450, I would need to add 2 Sensors Pods 150 (since 2 Smoke Sensors is the limit for Netbotz 450 while 1 Smoke Sensors is the limit for the Netbotz 150). Is my understanding correct? Thanks a lot
