What user rights need to be set in order for a "standard non admin user" to be able to view the rack temperatures ?

Hi Paul,
The only thing user needs is access to the room (even the "View" access would do). Here is an example for a user with no admin rights at all, having only the "View" access to the data center:
Works the same, both for 7.5 and 8.0.
