Rack PDU internal breakers and outlets

The release note suggest a new feature for some of the Rack PDU Genomes

  • Rack PDU internal breakers and power outlets

I actually want to create a new custom PDU genome and was hoping to use one of the ones with internal breakers, but if I try this it does not work.

If I copy across any of the enhanced PDU's the custom Genome then change any of the parameters of the PDU, DCO occasionally rashes when I try to save the solution. It also forces the client to restart.

When it doesn't crash during saving there seems to be no way to change the number and type of outlets on the PDU to suit my needs.  Does this mean I cannot create custom Genomes based on the enhanced PDU's as a base model, or am I just missing something?

Hi Garry!

As I know, there is no way to create custom enhanced rPDU yet.

HI Garry,

As Valentin said - currently there is no possibility to create new enhanced rack PDUs models by non-developers.

I saw you asking about Raritan PX3 in another question. Is it the one you want to model in DCO? Which model specifically? We recently created few Raritan models for another client (they are not public yet) - maybe there is an overlap.

We can also create more models as paid project.

Specifically there are 2 models

PX3-5150U-V2 63A 3 phase 24 outlets

PX3-5949U-V2 63A 3 phase 48 outlets

I can find out the number of banks and breakers in each one if needed.

I could still use the 'normal' method of PDU's but it would be nice to use the enhanced version for our customer now whilst we have the opportunity.  I can't see it being an easy process to replace the standard PDU model with enhanced ones later.

BTW - with regards to the crashing of DCO - I suspect now this was something to do with a poor network connection between the DCO client and server.

Highly unlikely we would pay for the modelling of these, as this is not in the project cost.
