I am trying to setup ETL Export database and wanted to query all server types from configuration_item table.
Select * from configuration_item where ci_type = 'Server'
However, configuration_item table does not contain any 'Server' type assets; all servers are listed as 'GenericRackMountEquipment'. Is this the correct ci_type for server? There are other equipment such as switch and path panels that are of type genericrackmountequipment as well.
How do I query all servers from configuration_item table?
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi Andrew
I'm happy to help but don't have a full DCO server I can access right now to test. I recall similar behaviour to what you're describing but I think I found a way to do what you're after but it wasn't straight forward, e.g. we can't just assume there every asset from HP or Dell is a server, i.e. can't really use manufacturer. Sorry I can't be more specific.
Cheers
