Per Server or RPDU's Port level Power Usage

Hi All

I want to pull the any server or RPDU's Port level energy consumption. can you please guide me how i can perform this?

For Example: customer has installed Dell powerEdge R330 and they want to know how much power this server is consuming right now and how much power consumed in last 7 days.

Assuming you are talking about only within Data Center Expert (DCE) and not Data Center Operations (DCO) with the correct modules in use.....

Within DCE You can create a "Virtual Sensor" for outlet(s) that the server is plugged into if the RPDU has power monitoring down to the outlet level. 

If my assumption is correct let everyone know and then someone can either link you to a "how to" or go into further detail on how to create the virtual sensor.

Yes i am working on DCE and DCO both, i have metered rPDU model AP8853 installed in rack and when i see its properties "view device sesnor" there is no details of outlet level. is it configurable or what? i just want to know how much power consuming my server on this rPDU's port?

I am not personally familar with the AP8853 rPDU you are using but when looking at the "view device senors" if you do not see values for individual outlets then the metering that is done by the rPDU you have is just an aggregate of the whole rPDU and you will not be able to determine an individual server's draw unless it is the only server plugged into the whole rPDU. Here is a quick pic of one of my rPDUs that does metering down to the outlet level (note areas marked in green)

John, I have used the AP8853 in the field. Unfortunately the AP8853 is only metered at a bank level. It does not report an an individual outlet/socket level (36xC13 and 6xC19). If you wish to get to an individual socket level, you will require a "AP8453 Metered by Outlet" or "AP8653 Switched" rPDU.
