Hello,
I have updated the firmware on four of my PDUS but two have hung (for days) with the message Waiting for RPDU2G 6.4.4 to load....
The PDUS are both AP8653 models
I have rebooted the management server and the pdus.
If i launch directly to the pdu i see that its running 6.4.4.
How can i update the firmware update page to show these puds as being upgraded?
Thanks
Patrick

Not an expert here but wanted to suggest some things:
Have you verified the SNMP settings, username/password DCE uses and also right click on the device and click "Request Device Scan".
If the device is updated, I would like DCE should notice that in a few minutes but it sounds like DCE isn't getting a response back from the device.
Do you get alarms? trends?
Regards,
J

I dont have any alarms configured but if i setup a report it can retrieve the data which I thought used SNMP.

Hi Patrick,
It looks like DCE is simply stuck looking to verify the version of firmware. What version of DCE are you using?
The first thing I would suggest is to reboot the server.
I'd also be curious to know if you went back to the firmware upgrade page (where you initiated the upgrade of the PDUs), does it show the correct firmware or is it prompting you to be able to upgrade the firmware again?
Is it just these 2 PDUs? Do you have others that worked?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve, I have already rebooted the server and the management interfaces of the PDUs. it shows the PDU as running app and os version 6.4.4, if I logon to the PDU it also says its running 6.4.4. The management server is running Client Build: 7.4.1.5 and Server Build: 7.4.1.5. there are two other PDUs in the same segment that updated fine. Regards Patrick

I ended up deleting and recreating the two offending PDUs.

Sorry to hear that. I knew that would resolve it but that causes the loss of historrical data and I would hope there would have been a less intrusive resolution. Thanks for the update Steve
