Hi Jörgen,
I hate to duplicate any troubleshooting that may be done under e-mail case 1438156882894 but I don't have direct access to that system at this time.
The first thing I would ask is how this is configured. In DCE's surveillance perspective, exactly how is the 455 configured? Is it set to alarm on motion detect? I sit configured to capture only on alerts? A screenshot may be helpful. Additionally, have you tried verifying in NetBotz Advanced View (AV) that the appliance is actually seeing the camera motion and either alerting on it or at least changing state from no motion to motion. If it is not changing , perhaps the bot is not enabled for motion detection. In AV, this can be verified under configuration, camera pods, masking and "Enable camera motion". Under sensor configuration, there is also a camera motion sensor. If you are expecting alerts or configured to capture in DCE based on alerts, you'll need to enable that threshold as well.
If you look in AV under the configuration and the Struxureware applet, do you see a listing for surveillance? Is that listing by IP or by server name? If it is by server name, delete it. Then go to DCE and the surveillance perspective. Right click the camera in question and select surveillance settings. There is a "Server Settings" section. Make sure the "StruxureWare Data Center Expert server" listing is shown by IP and apply it. Older systems may have a drop-down list and I'm looking at 7.2.7 and I need to type it in.
You may also want to verify the time on the bot. If the DCE time and the appliance time are different, you may actually have clips but you may be searching the wrong time for them. If the bot shows 7PM and the server shows 5PM, you'll need to include what the DCE server would see as a future time in the range for recorded clips. Instead of searching the last hour for instance, choose a range and include yesterday for a start date and use an end date of tomorrow or the next day. If the systems are days off, you may have to include a wider range but you should actually sync the systems up first and then do some testing for motion.

Hi Steven,
Thanks for the reply, excuse me for the support case situation..., no repons yet on the case...
DCE and AV has matching time stamp...
In DCE: "Camera Motion" is set to do a "Informational alert", and in some cases it create clip, see camera symbol and the "clip" can be seen through: Alarm History for All Devices, but this "clip" can´t be found in: "Retrieve Clips" with in "Last 30 Days" , please see Picture 1, 2 and 3:
Has also tested to "retrieving clips", with a time in the future...

Hi Jörgen,
If the bot is sending images in alerts and attempting to send surveillance, it may be trying to send a lot of data. Is the bot also sending these alerts via e-mail, to an FTP server, a windows share, or other DCE servers?
You also noted that another unit is working fine. What is the difference? Is it in another network segment? Is one unit alerting more than the other? Is it sending more e-mails etc.
I also noted in your screenshot that there are 13 different camera motion alerts in about 5 and a half minutes. Is this alerting simply a way of testing or do you have the appliance alerting in this manner at all times? I ask this as both alerting and surveillance are meant to be used more in an environment where no motion should be seen on a normal basis. The capture of motion should be the exception and not the rule, especially for alerts. If you're capturing motion all the time, you'r sending a lot of data. If you add to that alerts going to DCE and potentially other places, that is loading up the bot even more and using a lot of resources. Additionally, since you're capturing on motion detect, the bot is detecting motion if the alert is set up or not...as long as motion detection is enabled.
Try going into the log applet in Advanced View. Set the global level to alert so you get only the most critical events. Now select some specific components to log at the trace level such as:
Camera manager
Capture manager
Send HTTP alert
Surveillance agent.
Create motion so that an alert is sent and, making sure any scheduling is enabled, surveillance should also be sent. Test this once or twice, then go to the bot via a web browser. After loggin in, append the following to the IP in the address bar:
pages/support.html
so it looks like this (with your IP)
http://192.168.1.100/pages/support.html

Hi Steven,
For camera motion:
- No alerts: Via e-mail
- No FTP server is in use
- No Windows share is in use
- Only one DCE is used
Tested to remove informational alerts, to try to decrease data load,
but it didn´t create any recorded camera clips
Netbotz wall Monitor 355, with only one camera Pod 160, is working fine...
This 355 is connected to the internal DCE network...
Netbotz wall Monitor 455 is connected outside the internal DCE network, because in the long run, we hope to have this equipment connect to one more DCE system, in total two DCE system. But the record camera clips is not needed to have in both DCE system, only in one system..., if this decrease data load..., is this possible to configured, one place for record camera clips???
For the moment, can I not see any unit alerting more than other units...,
but I will try have this in "check-mode" in the future...
The many camera motion alerts was created in test purpose...
I will later try to do the "log" part again, later...,
because this is the only I get, with "logread", right now:
Jul 31 10:38:13 netbotz9D2260 syslog.info syslogd started: BusyBox v1.2.1
Jul 31 10:38:13 netbotz9D2260 user.notice kernel: klogd started: BusyBox v1.2.1 (2015.05.18-22:28+0000)

Jul 31 10:58:13 netbotz9D2260 syslog.info -- MARK --

Jul 31 11:04:00 netbotz9D2260 user.notice syslog: Send HTTP Alert started
Thanks in advance,

Hi Jörgen,
You may want to wipe the config on the bot and start over. You can keep the IP on the bot but wipe everything else with a url such as:
More info is available in k-base FA158175.
You may also want to try (at least for testing purposes) putting the failing 455 on the DCE private LAN as is the 355 that is working. This will take the network out of the picture. If it works there but even with an unconfig does not work on the public LAN, it leads me to believe there may be either a traffic issue or some type of firewall issue.
For logging, maybe add the alert manager to the list of components under the trace level.

Hi Steven,
The network-team here, had removed a "firewall-opening",
between DCE and Netbotz 455, without asking us first...
After a new "firewall-opening", Recorded Camera Clips: OK
The Netbotz 455 is also now connected to two DCE and
there are: Recorded Camera Clips in both: DCE
Thanks for all help,
Jörgen
