Hello community and support,
I have a question about the Network Route Path in DCO.
When i add a long route in the network management view that contains more than 256 characters i must gamble the next step becouse it's not possible to add more characters in the path.
I have already adapt the names of the rooms, row's racks and servernames but it still doesn' t fit!
Is it possible to simplify the way to make or edit network routes?
Or is there in the next upgrade a better solution for editing the network routes?
Many thanks for your help.

Hi Stefan,
I was wondering if using the "Connection tool" could be the feature you were looking for - as illustrated by selecting for example all my 7 racks (by holding the "Ctrl" and clicking the left mouse button on racks), I can easily make the network route from rack 1 to rack 7.
I was also trying to see if I could reproduce the character limitation in "Edit route" field, but as illustrated in the following capture I have over 256 characters (at least 292 in this test):
My tests have been on a DCO 7.5 setup. Please let me know if there is any special route/setup I should test, thanks.
Kind regards

Off from the main question; how do we show the 7 racks connectivity on a report? as the network report or exported to excel only show start and end, not the 'hops' in between.

Hi Chris, I think a possible option could be to export the route as image (File > Layout as image > Rack layout). I can capture a feature request if you/customer would need a more detailed/text based report? Kind regards

Hi Jef, That methode works indeed in the selected room, but my routes spans over multiple rooms i think that's the problem. When i make in jour methode a route over multiple rooms i can't see the end point in my network management tab. Will you test that for us please? Many thanks!

Hi Stefan, You are right, if the route spans over multiple rooms (2+), then I can see the issue. I have registered an enhancement case for this, so the codes could be reviewed,. Thank you. Kind regards
