Hi team,
is it possible to import more than a single network cable with the excel import template?
I could import two devices with one cable between them, but when I try with two cables It says that there is one device in the same U position so It only puts the first cable.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Javier
Yes, multiple network connections can be configured via the import template.
To do so, you need to copy the existing network columns to a new set of columns and in the new set change the number from "1" to "2" in the column titles, if you want a 3rd connection, copy the columns again setting the number to "3" in each of the column headings ... and so on.
So in the below screenshot you'd copy columsn AS through BD, paste them immediately following the Network columns ending with "1", and rename the new column headings to the same names changing the number "1" to "2".

Thanks Greg,
A lot of work I think if we have many connections. Maybe it is easier the ETL import job for the cabling. We have to introduce more than 1.000 cables...

Javier, one clarification regarding the import tool. Its meant for adding new equipment to racks. Its purpose is not for updating existing assets like adding network cable connections to existing devices as the import tool will delete the existing device and replace it with the device in the sheet with the new connection info.
You can investigate using ETL to perform just the network connections as well. I'd suggest you consider working with our ACS team if you plan to complete that task often as they may be able to help you create a custom tool to complete this process efficiently.
