Netbotz250 event alert with current temperature

Hi all,

Is there a way to display the current temperature when the temperature threshold alert is triggered? e.g. if Max is 35 Degrees Celsius but if it's hitting 36~37 already.

Dear Go Ato,

The point is that this can be done natively by changing the DDF-file for this NetBotz-250 device...

But there is another option, that you can do yourself: in the DCE-server create for your temperature sensors, which connected to the NetBotz-250, Threshold Alarms.

After you create the Threshold Alarms that you need for exceeding the temperature, you need to create a Short Message Email (SMS) Alarm Actions for sending plain text messages. How to do it you can read in the reply of Balaraman Jagadeesan from post Details of HTTP Post.

In order to see the current value of the sensor, for example, temperature, in the e-mail plain text message, you need to use the macro ${SENSORVAL}.

I hope this helps you.

With respect.

Hello Go,

Can you clarify where you are expecting this temperature to be display. Do you mean on the web interface, or included in the email notification that you receive from the NetBotz 250?

Thanks

I'd like to have it displayed on the email notification if possible

Dear Go Ato,

Ok, now I completely understand your task (I thought, that you have a DCE-server). In this case, unfortunately, your desire to know the current temperature in the event alert messages is not yet possible.

The only thing I can recommend is to create a corresponding Feature requests with a detailed description. And perhaps, in the new version of firmware NetBotz-250 is to be implemented (latest firmware is v.6.5.6, 29 may 2018).

With respect.

Thank you very much on the confirmation. I'll check on that feature requests.

Thank you for the information. But sounds like I need SMS gateway?

All I have is standalone NetBotz 250 with wireless sensor, is there any other way to configure it? You also mentioned about changing DDF file? would that allow to change the email template sent out on all the event?

Note: we don't have StruxureWare Data Center Expert server
