Netbotz rack monitor200 "Err" message

We have connected Sensor pod150 with Netbotz rack monitor 200 via A link port. The cable connection is done correctly using the A link Terminator. The issue we are facing is the Main Module on Rack monitor 200 is not recognized and so the T/H sensors are also not detected. The sensor pod150 is detected and all 6 sensors are showing. but the 3 T/H sensors directly connected to rack mon 200 is not identified. I can see "Err" message on Beacon, relay output and switched outlet.

I would suggest removing the sensor pod, and see if the sensors are getting detected without expansion module or sensor pod. If sensors are getting detected on the appliance without sensor pod, then this error could be due to A-link communication issue.

The sensor pod was removed but still the Netbotz 200 Main module and directly connected T/H sensors were not detected

Shemilusman,

Try without any sensors or terminators connected to the appliance. Plug a temp humidity probe (AP9335TH) into sensor port 1 and see if the interface sees it. If the interface does not see it, try resetting the appliance under Administration > General > Reset/Reboot. Unplug everything but the network cable and then perform the reset all excluding TCP/IP.

After the reset, ensure you can access the web interface and everything is reset. Try connecting a temp/humidity probe (AP9335TH) to the NetBotz 200.

If the appliance is still having an issue after the reset, you will need to contact your local technical support, ensuring that you select your country in the drop down menu: http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/contact-information/

Best Regards,
Cory

Hi Mian, 1) The NB150 is recognized as Exp_module_2 and all 6 sensors connected to it is working fine. 2) The Err remains as it is even after I did "Reset All" after disconnecting everything. 2) Only one NB150. Regards Shemil

1-I would recommend you to make sure that the connection of Netbotz NB150 is connected as shown below

2-if Yes you Have tried NB 200 without 150's it works fine , then follow these.

  • Disconnect all the sensors from NB200 and NB150's.
  • Disconnect all device from each others no NB150 should be connected to NB200.
  • Power off all NB150 and NB200 devices.
  • Now while devices are Power off then Connect all NB devices with each others without sensors.
  • After connecting NB devices with each other [without sensors] Power up all devices in such a way that main Netbotz NB 200 should be Power up at last in ROW.
  • check the status of your  "Err" message on Beacon, relay output and switched outlet.
  • I followed these steps to remove this error hope so you will also.
  • Now if device is working fine then go and connect all the sensors.

    Regards
    Mian.

shemilusman Please also verify that you have the latest firmware at your NB200. Firmware resources are here http://www.apc.com/products/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SFNBY356&tab=software
