Netbotz Version 3 Units Temperature Units in Alerts

Hi,

Just wondering if there is a fix for the displayed temperature settings in temperature alerts generated from Version 3 Netbotz units?

The text of the alert come in Fahrenheit and the attached graph is in Celsius.  I can choose a region on the device to get both in Fahrenheit but am unable to get both in Celsius.  I am using the current firmware on my devices, firmware 4.5.  Thanks

Toby

Apologies Toby,

You're correct, I was thinking about FA236695 which refers to DCE where this is still an issue.

In the UI, both Advanced View and the web, the temperature scale is determined by the OS region settings. For alerts, I tested this and added a new profile with a new alert action. When adding functionality. I added an address and for that address, I gave it English UK.I then associated it with a threshold and forced that threshold to trigger. Here's the graph in Celsius:

and here is the text in the body of the mail:

Both appear in Celsius.

If you have changed region but have an e-mail with English US, the mail will still come in English US. The graph will be what the system's regional settings are I believe.

Try creating a new alert action and specify English UK:

Steve

Hi Toby,

This is a known issue and is sited in k-base FA158369. Data can be sent in either Celsius or Fahrenheit but the graph is always Fahrenheit. It is being looked into but it is currently a known limitation of the system

Thanks

Steve

What is happening to me is the opposite. The graph is in Celsius but the data is in Fahrenheit. I am trying to get both in Celsius. Tried English(Canada) and English(UK) for region settings on the Netbotz and both behaved same. If I picked English(US) then I get both in Fahrenheit. Thanks Toby

Also, in the resolution for that k-base it states "Version 3.2 Botzware for Version 3 Netbotz products resolves this issue."

Yup that worked. that must have been added in a firmware after the fact. My email addresses had no locales in them, was blank. Probably default to English US. I removed and re-added the email addresses and pick the locale I wanted and both the data and graph now are in Celsius. Thanks a bunch. Toby

Yes...I forget what version but you probably had this configured for some time...I think it was 4.3 that had this change.
