Hello, Can you please elaborate on your issue? Are you not getting images in alerts? Are you not getting surveillance? Is the NetBotz appliances capturing images itself? Steve

In our setup we have a Netbotz 570 connected to DEC 7.3.1, same issue with 7.2.7. Can see that detection is working, green light on camera. Getting alarms in DCE that there has been movement, but no clips. Live feed is also working. We have also a second Netbotz, same model, where everything works. Only difference is that there is only one camera on that Netbotz. Have checked the setting in both DCE and Netbotz. Karl

Hi Karl,
If you're getting alarms but no images, the first thing to look at is the alert on the NetBotz appliance itself. Does the alert there include images? Next, check the Data Center Expert applet on the configuration page in NetBotz advanced view. Is the bot posting to an IP or hostname? It's usually more sure if it is pointing to hostname. Also, how many DCE systems are listed there? I would not suggest posting to more than 2 but posting to only 1 is the best way to troubleshoot.
You noted that there are multiple cameras on this 570 (assuming both camera pod 160s). Are both cameras experiencing the same issue? If not, that lends itself to be a camera config issue. If both cameras are experiencing this, it would seem to be more related to the main unit.
You may also want to take a look at the differences between the units. If one works and the other does not, is there a network difference? Perhaps a router is set up to not allow specific info. You may also want to try to back up this units configuration then reset it to defaults using the unconfig or configreset commands in k-base FA158175. Without re-importing the config, set it up to capture motion. Does it work?

Can't see that images get stored on either Netbotz, the clips is just forwared to the DCE. Data Center Expert applet: Uses IP address. Only One DCE. Connected two cameras, both cameras on the same Netbotz is not working. One camera is connected to the other netbotz, camera works. Same settings. Both Netbotz units is connected to the same APC networker switch. Have not tried the config reset metod and it is a bit troblesome to performe, behind DCE in an privat networker and unit is remote. Hi Karl, If these images are camera motion alerts (not surveillance), then the alert should be on the NetBotz appliance and on the DCE server. This is also assuming you are getting an alert of course. Images should be in both places. If the images are not on the alerts on the bot, I would not expect them to be on the DCE server under alerts. To be sure it's set up properly, you'd want to go to configuration and double click the camera applet. Select the camera and hit settings. Make sure "Enable video from camera" is checked and verify the scheduling it set up properly. Go to the camera capture settings and make sure you don't have a delay before capture that may be stopping the appliance from capturing. Make sure you go to sensor configuration and that the camera motion threshold is enabled. Make sure there is an appropriate alert profile associated with this threshold and that the scheduling is not disabling this threshold. Make sure the appropriate camera is checked. Check the associated profile. Check each sequence and make sure that "pictures" are correctly set under capture settings. Make sure there is no delay in the sequence. If all is set up correctly, there may be some corruption and again, you may want to reset the appliance to defaults. Test the alerts before considering re-import of any backup. Steve

Ok. We don't see any clips with the alerts, not on the botz and not on the DCE. This is the same for all three cameras. What we can retreive is camera clips with the option: Retrieve clips from camera "Main Door Camera" but can't Retrieve clips from camera "Emergency Exit Camera" or from camera "Cube Camera - Hot Zone" I have checked that "Enable video from camera" is checked and verifed that the scheduling it set up properly. Have also checked the camera capture settings and make sure you don't have a delay before capture that may be stopping the appliance from capturing. Alert profile is set to default and it is the same on both Netbotz. As far as I can see there is only option is to reset the appliance to default. They are brand new so there is no special settings on them, so that should be fine. I will report back the results of the reset. Karl

Thanks Karl, Yes, please let me know and remember, if you create a backup, test the capture / alert functionality before re-importing said backup. Steve

I did a unconfig of the Netbotz and the capturing started to work. I did a manual config of it afterwards and it now works as the other Netbotz. So the unconfig procedure, FA158175, worked. rgds Karl Dag
