Netbotz 570 Error "Communication error with device"

Good day 

Please assist

I'm loosing communication to our netbotz device 570.

I  receive email from DCE " The device is offline due to a timeout or connection error."

Then 2 to 5mins later i receive email from DCE "Device is online".

I am unable to identify what causes this issue as the error occurs is very random, however of late it has been occuring more frequently.

Any ideas?

Dear juice,

This issue has already been discussed here on EcoStruxure IT. The simple search leads us to two possible solutions to your problem.

  1. Try to perform a simple diagnosis of your network between the NetBotz appliance and the DCE-server. For example, how did Steven Marchetti write about this in topic . Additionally, there, I told how to view the log files of your NetBotz appliance.
  2. A workaround solution to this problem may also be to change the mode of transfer of data from the NetBotz appliance to the DCE-server. I.e., use the so-called Post Only Mode. What is the difference and how to do it perfectly wrote VSales in the topic .

I hope this helps you solve the problem.

No the issue has yet to be resolved.

Viewing the logs - this is great however it doesn't really direct me to possible cause of the problem. The log files only says there was a communication issue and that's not enough for me to resolve the problem

 

Post mode - I am not comfortable yet with this feature, I need to understand what the pros and cons interms of my clients environment and measure the impact.
