Netbotz 250 - Unplugged sensor value

Dear Community,

We are observing a weird condition where Netbotz 250 reports unplugged sensor value but DCE doesn't report any communication lost.

Communication seems ok. No lost comm or unplugged.

Quite a number of unplugged sensors observed.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

Best Regards,

TJ

Dear TJ, what type of sensors? Are these wireless T/H sensors which are showing intermittent unplugged sensors?

Hi TJ, In order to verify if this issue is happening due to DCE or appliance, login to Netbotz appliance data logs and see the wired sensors report values in data logs properly under Logs-Data logs. You may also look at the event logs of the appliance and DCE show alarm history for this device, and see if there are abnormal logs such as disconnect error related to the sensors.

Which version of DCE are you using? Is it version 7.7.1? As you can see in the k-base here, there is some issues related to report generation on dce web UI.

Do you have any other netbotz appliance or any other type devices? If so, can you please generate the reports for the other devices sensors and see if you see the similar issue? This test can help to understand if the issue is related to only Netbotz 250 or some other issue. Please also make sure that the Netbotz appliance firmware is up to date.

I also let other community folks to share their views on your query.

Hi Bala,

I couldn't trace back the logs from Netbotz as it has been overwritten by other events over time. I have checked other Netbotz which is in the same network that has no such issue. The DCE version is running at 7.6 as we know that 7.7.1 has bug issues, we are waiting for update for the time being.

As for the Netbotz, I have upgraded to the latest firmware few days back. I have checked the trending, so far so good. I will keep on monitor whether it's an individual case or not.

BR,

TJ.
